Maria José Santos is based in Lisbon, and manages a team of senior consultants with extensive experience in many different business sectors: Industrial Products & Manufacturing, Retail, Energy, Automotive, Technology & Communication, Hospitality, Life Science and Financial Services with a special focus in international companies. Maria José's team focuses on Executive Search, Professional Recruitment and Talent Advisory Services such as Organizational Development, Assessment and Development centres, Capability Review and Leadership & Talent Development Services, supporting our international clients in their expansion and talent management needs, working effectively with MU consultants globally to ensure high-quality delivery and development of client relations. Before joining Mercuri Urval, Maria José has been part of the Management Team of a Valmet Corporation plant in Portugal, where she held managerial roles in Sales, After Sales & Planning, after being an assessor to the Board of Directors at the start of the project. Previously she has also been Assessor to the Board of Directors in other industrial companies, collaborating in the field of Investment Projects, Management Control & Finance. She has also been a Certified Trainer for some years within some national Training companies and Business Associations. Maria José holds a Business Management Degree from ISCTE-Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa, Lisbon. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French and has basic knowledge of German.
