Biography
Hnn-Hui is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Industrial & Technology Practices in Asia.
He has lead client work in real estate, energy, telecommunications, private capital and family owned businesses in Southeast Asia, and provided advisory services on talent management and leadership challenges serving owners, the Board, CEO and HR. He has completed top level searches for CEO, CXO, INED for companies operating in Asia facing the transformation imperative.
In non-search consulting, he is regularly engaged for his expertise on Asian talents within industrial, tech and family businesses. He has extensive experience in assessment and development of senior executives for CEO and CXO succession planning, talent pipeline, and career pathing. He has assessed more than 208 senior executives in the past decade.
Hnn-Hui regularly provides human capital due diligence for private equity clients to advise on top management team quality and team effectiveness. He is engaged in pre-deal situations and post-deal integration work.
Prior to this, Hnn-Hui worked with an international executive search firm as principal and in a bespoke strategy consulting firm founded by an ex-McKinsey team, serving clients on transformation initiatives in Southeast Asia. He serves as a mentor for Oxbridge Society and volunteers in youth leadership development, coaching and mentoring future leaders.
Education:
Hnn-Hui holds both a PhD in Management of Technology & Innovation and a MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge as a Commonwealth Trust Scholar. He graduated BEng (1st Hons.) in Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, UK.
