Dan Xie Overgaard is an Associate Partner in DHR’s Beijing and Shanghai office. She is dedicated to serving clients in the industrial, professional services, and life science industries. Over the past decade, Dan has successfully placed a wide range of senior level executives in China, including partners and directors of consulting firms, country heads for pharmaceutical companies and functional leaders for various industrial clients. Dan has more than 20 years of experience in strategy consulting, organizational design, operational improvement, industrial marketing and talent management. Prior to joining DHR, Dan was the Managing Director of ACCO Group ApS, a boutique consultancy specialized in assisting European companies expand into the Chinese market. Working with multinational clients in both strategic and operational areas, Dan helped European companies especially with challenges in market entry, growth strategy, partnership selection, operational strategy and talent issues. In recent years, Dan also advised several Chinese companies in outbound investment into European life science and clean tech markets. Dan brings a wealth of international experience through positions in Asia, Australia and Europe. In addition to DHR and ACCO, her past work experience includes international pricing manager at Novo Nordisk in Denmark, manager at L.E.K. Consulting in Sydney and Beijing, and marketing manager at Daimler AG in Germany. Dan holds an M.B.A. of General Management from INSEAD in France and a B.A. of Economics from Peking University in China. As a native of China, Dan is fluent in Mandarin, English and Danish.
