Based in London, he has nearly fifteen years of experience working with financial institutions to assess, recruit, and secure leaders in C-suite positions, regional management, and functional head roles. Ian works with clients to bring foresight and deep personalization to their executive search needs with a focus on risk, regulation and control. Previously, Ian was a consultant with a global executive search firm where he focused on high-profile positions across risk, compliance and audit. In this role, he was part of the pitch team researching, interviewing, and managing negotiations for experienced financial professionals and executives across the United States, EMEA, and Asia. Before that, he founded a UK-based career consultancy offering bespoke guidance to college graduates entering the job market. Ian has worked with several other boutique talent advisory firms where he secured managing director, executive committee, and board-level leaders for global banks, hedge funds and asset managers. Ian began his career as an executive search analyst with Nicholas Scott International. Ian holds a BSc in geography from the University of St Andrews and an MSc in management from the University of Edinburgh.
