Biography
For more than 30 years, Mr. Flannery has assisted not-for-profit, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, governmental, and services industries to improve their relationships with their executive, faculty, and employees. He has guided executive, physician, faculty, and employee compensation and benefits reviews as well as organizational issues including succession and development, performance management, organizational design, and human resources best practice.
Mr. Flannery's expertise covers the design of jobs and work processes and organizational design in areas including IT, finance, HR, platform and back office processing, and other value-added service and administrative areas. He has designed organizations on a macro and micro basis in healthcare, utility, finance, manufacturing, and insurance industries. He has extensive global experience, including Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Flannery is the editor and co-author of numerous books and articles on executive compensation in healthcare and key issues in the design of reward programs across industries. He is currently developing a new book on executive compensation in healthcare. He currently writes a quarterly column on tax exempt issues for the Compensation and Benefits Review.
Mr. Flannery holds a bachelors degree from Arizona State University, a masters of arts in public administration from the University of New Mexico, and a doctor of philosophy from Northwestern University. He is a frequent speaker and has published extensively in the area of organization effectiveness.
