Jan Hendrik's career spans over more than 18 years in Financial Services and Consulting with a strong focus on strategy development and implementation as well as organizational effectiveness across all major geographies. Previously, Jan Hendrik was Executive Director at GENYX, a boutique consultancy, supporting major clients in the healthcare, financial services and hospitality sector. He has worked with Boards, CEOs, global functional and regional teams on organizational alignment, leadership engagement, team effectiveness and change management. Jan Hendrik began his career working with Deutsche Bank in Germany, followed by seven years with McKinsey & Company in strategy consulting with a focus on financial services and a particular emphasis on retail banking, wealth management and insurance. As General Manager Group Strategy and member of the Group Executive Team at Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the Middle East, he managed the strategic project portfolio of the bank, e.g. implementing segment strategies, creating organizational efficiencies, enhancing the customer experience or identifying new business opportunities. He coordinated the merger of Emirates Bank and NBD to create Emirates NBD. This multi-year program included merging retail networks, integrating back offices, IT integration as well as a complete brand and culture transformation. This integration was followed by a merger of two Islamic banks and a cross-border acquisition. Jan Hendrik is fluent in German and English. As graduate of University of Muenster in Germany he holds a degree in Business Administration and also earned a PHD in Finance from University Bayreuth.
