Within the Board & CEO Services Practice, Ms. Nixon leads in the area of Board Effectiveness, CEO Succession and Board Renewal in the Consumer, Retail, Life Sciences, Health Services and Digital/Media markets. Additionally, Ms Nixon leads the Human Resources, Corporate Affairs and Sports Practices for ANZ. Prior to her current position, Ms. Nixon spent five years working across the converging digital markets of technology, communications, media and entertainment. Previously Ms. Nixon was based in the London office of Korn Ferry Whitehead Mann where she worked with the Board & CEO Services Practice, latterly responsible for leading the ‘Women on Boards' initiative. She previously led the Construction, Infrastructure and Support Services Sector within the Industrial Practice, as well as the Human Resources Center of Expertise for EMEA. Before joining Korn Ferry Whitehead Mann in 2004, Ms. Nixon spent over 10 years working with another high profile international professional services firm, latterly at Director level across the Consumer, Retail, Media, Life Sciences, Health Services markets. Her earlier career includes P&L general management for a FTSE listed leading international services PLC. Ms. Nixon has worked with board leadership and senior human resources executives across a range of industries, bringing over 25 years of experience in human capital consulting. She has a track record leading global intelligence, CEO and top team succession, board and leadership effectiveness and evaluation, and search projects internationally. In the area of human capital, Ms Nixon has led a number of independent research projects in thought leadership, authoring publications on CEO succession and the Board, such as ‘Discover the DNA of Future CEOs' and ‘What makes an Exceptional Non-Executive Director in Australasia'. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science and Recreational Management, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Loughborough University. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Graduate of the Company Directors Course. Ms. Nixon is a qualified teacher and twice represented her nation in the European Water Polo Club Championships.
