Markus Hofer provides pharmaceutical, biotechnology and generics companies with leadership and strategic advice. He serves both international and national clients across board, CEO and functional leadership roles across the healthcare continuum. Markus offers clients nearly two decades of high-level professional experience. During his career, he has worked as a researcher, venture capital investor, manager and consultant in the life sciences industry. Before joining the firm, he spent five years with a-connect, a global network-based consulting firm as head of the life sciences practice. Before that, he spent several years at Novartis Pharma, first in strategic planning and then as global strategy director. Earlier in his career, he worked in venture capital and was co-founder of a biotech venture firm. He began his career with McKinsey & Co. Markus has an MSc in biotechnology from the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich and an MBA from INSEAD. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish and has a good working knowledge of French.
