Dr. Gülen Özaktürk partners with financial services firms to identify and develop leaders who optimize growth. Based in Hamburg, she has nearly two decades of experience in financial services, with a focus on organizational development, strategic management, and reporting. Previously, Gülen was the CFO and a board member at wefox, a Swiss insurance technology provider. During her time there, she supported the expansion into the Swiss, Polish and Italian markets. She also planned the product launch of insurance products and the establishment of insurance companies. Before that, she was the CFO and a board member at VHV Reasürans A.S., a provider of reinsurance services in Turkey. Gülen licensed and established the company in Istanbul, including integrating policies, processes, and employees. She began her career as chief of staff at VHV Allgemeine Versicherung AG in Germany. Gülen holds a master’s degree in business administration and the doctoral degree rerum politicarum in economics from the University of Göttingen. Gülen is fluent in English, German and Turkish, and has good French language skills.
