Michael Hirshman is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Los Angeles office and a member of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice. His client engagements include placing board, chief executive, and other senior executives in the sector. Mike’s clients range from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 500 companies as well as financial sponsors that invest in the segment. He specializes in recruiting for roles with a strong technical component, where deep subject matter expertise is required to fulfill the mandate. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Mike worked in venture capital and at another recruitment firm. He began his career as a journalist at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. He was a National Merit Scholar and is fluent in English and Spanish.
