Mikael Karlsson advises industrial company boards, CEOs and C-suite officers on their successors and assists in recruiting succession candidates and providing short and long-term strategic options for their business. Based in Stockholm, Mikael advises global Industrial and Natural Resources businesses. He applies nearly a decade of experience in strategy consulting, where he focused on corporate strategy, operational excellence and transformation projects for industrial companies and private equity funds. Mikael coaches and advises clients to execute successful leadership strategies within the industrial space. Over the course of his career, Mikael has both held senior roles at QVARTZ (now Bain & Company) and Implement Consulting Group and led an independent management consulting firm in Sweden. He also worked for the Swedish fintech unicorn Tink as responsible for business development in the DACH region and for Tink’s largest partnerships with European banks. Mikael holds a M.S. with a major in finance and strategic management from Copenhagen Business School. He also has a B.S. in business administration and economics from Lund University, School of Economics and Management. He is fluent in Swedish and English.
