Based in Toronto, Jennifer Hirshfeld co-leads Spencer Stuart’s Financial Officer Practice in Canada. With 20 years of extensive recruiting experience, she specializes in searches for CFOs and their direct reports in a broad spectrum of roles, including audit, controls, treasury and FP&A. She has been with the Firm since 2001 and has been a core member of the Financial Officer Practice since 2010. Jennifer has wide-ranging experience across industries, including manufacturing, industrial, software and technology. She has placed senior executives for both public and privately held organizations, start-ups and multi-national enterprises. Since joining the Firm, she has executed more than 270 search assignments and has led multiple searches for companies backed by tier-one private equity firms. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Jennifer worked with another leading executive search firm as a senior consultant focusing on executive-level searches for clients in industrial, consumer, technology and financial services. Jennifer started her career in publishing, where she honed her client service skills in marketing and publicity, working in roles of progressive responsibility. Jennifer serves on the board of Mothercraft, a leading organization in support of healthy child development and works with many community partners to meet the changing needs of families. Jennifer holds a B.A. (with honors) from Huron College, University of Western Ontario.
