Kaare Sand works out of Spencer Stuart’s Copenhagen office. A former leader of the firm’s Industrial Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Kaare now focuses mainly on Board, CEO and C-level work across the global Industrial sector. He is a member of the firm’s Carbon Task Force which is dedicated to helping clients meet their ESG requirements and pivot their commercial, strategic and people plans to meet the UN Sustainable Development goals agenda. Prior to Spencer Stuart, Kaare spent six years as a consultant and partner with another leading executive search firm with clients based in Europe as well as in Asia and the U.S. Before entering executive recruitment, he was a marketing manager with Berendsen, a major industrial services company. Early in his career, he spent 10 years with the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, during which he lived and worked for six years in China, holding various management positions from office manager in the port city of Tianjin to corporate sales and marketing manager for all of China. He then returned to Denmark to serve as general manager and head of corporate marketing for Maersk Line. Kaare graduated from the A.P. Moller-Maersk Shipping School, has studied Mandarin at the Beijing Normal University and holds an Executive M.B.A. from SIMI, Copenhagen. Kaare speaks Danish, English and Mandarin.
