Andrés Gil-Casares is a member of the firm’s Consumer Sector and Private Equity Practice, also working closely with clients in the retail and wealth management industries. He has extensive experience recruiting talent at the C-level for multinational and family-owned business in the consumer and retail environments, as well as with funds and their portfolio companies. Andrés has also completed several searches at board and senior advisor level. He works closely with the firm’s Leadership & Succession team on succession planning, post-merger integration, due diligence and talent development initiatives for management teams in the consumer, retail and private equity. Andrés is based in Madrid. Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Andrés spent several years in the executive search industry, identifying and attracting the best talent for consumer, retail and professional services roles across Europe. Prior to that, he was an in-house lawyer for Spanish private equity firm Portobello Capital (formerly Ibersuizas), where he advised funds on legal issues related to mergers and acquisitions, finance and corporate law. In addition, Andrés advised on legal issues as the Secretary for Boards of Directors for several portfolio companies. Andrés holds a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as an LLM and an MBA from IE University in Spain. He speaks fluent English in addition to his native Spanish.
