As a banker with 34 years of experience, Kenneth took on Senior Management positions in the Global Markets division, which is performed through his career roles in both local and Global Banks. His personal and professional contributions were well recognised and appreciated in the Banking sector – with proven results in managing and supporting Corporate, Institutional and Private Banking Clientele. Kenneth started his banking career with DBS Bank in 1987 where he was promoted to the Head of Treasury Sales within 5 years, managing a 10 strong Sales Team with multi-product Treasury skillsets, covering Singapore based MNCs, SMEs-Mid Caps, GLCs and Large Corporations. In 1993, Merrill Lynch International Bank appointed Kenneth as their Treasurer for the APAC region. He managed the Regional Dealing Room in Singapore responsible for the Asset-Liability Funding, FX, Rates and Derivatives exposures. He collaborated closely with about 100 Financial Consultants to serve Private Wealth Clients and Family Offices across APAC. Kenneth joined BNP Paribas Singapore in 1995 with a mission to change the conservative flow-oriented team to a responsive and solutions-driven team. Within 2 years, he grew the team from 4 to 10 members, broadening and deepening client and product coverage through conducting multiple Client Events/Seminars to elevate the Bank’s branding and communication movements. His success carried him to take on Regional and APAC Management responsibilities, where he leveraged on his expertise and experiences, to build and managed more than 200 MNC relationships across APAC. With strong local and APAC regulatory, legal and compliance knowledge, Kenneth was instrumental in guiding many Corporate and Institutional organisations, to navigate the different APAC culture and business environment, growing their company from a Regional to a Global platform. Throughout his successful career path, Kenneth was personally involved in many internal hires for his Bank’s expansion. With his wide banking and head-hunting contacts, he had helped many Clients’ search for their appropriate candidate to fit the required job . Kenneth holds a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (First Class Honours) from National University of Singapore. He also has the relevant qualifications to advise on Securities, Futures, Swaps and Commodity in Global Markets. He served as the Male Champion for Gender & Diversity Program in BNP Paribas and Financial Women Association (FWA).
