Biography
Andrea Pecchio joined Spencer Stuart’s Italian office in December 2002. He leads the Italian operations of the firm's Financial Services Practice, focusing his activities on banks, insurance companies and real estate companies. He also works extensively in the Board Practice. Andrea brings more than 20 years of professional experience in management consulting and financial services.
After having spent four years as an energy economist, Andrea joined Chase Manhattan Bank in 1984, working first in London and later in Milan, in credit, commercial banking and investment banking, where ultimately he was responsible for the development of new derivative products in Italy.
He later moved to McKinsey, initially in New York and Zurich and later in Milan, where he led major projects for top-tier Italian banks and insurance companies.
After McKinsey, Andrea operated in the real estate sector as managing director of UNIM, which was, at the time, the largest listed real estate company in continental Europe with a market capitalization of about € 2.5 billion. After it was acquired by Pirelli, Andrea contributed to the development of Pirelli in this sector, serving as director of Pirelli Real Estate among other roles.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Andrea was managing director for Italy of Oliver, Wyman and Company, where he launched and established the firm's presence on the Italian market.
Andrea holds a degree in economics from the University of Rome and he is a member of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
