Biography
Rich Warren, based in Atlanta, is active in Egon Zehnder’s Media & Entertainment, Sports, and Legal Consultancy Services practices and co-leads Egon Zehnder’s Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Practice. A seasoned former senior executive with decades of experience in the media and cable television industry, he applies his expertise and acumen to help companies build strong management teams and transform their businesses in the context of the rapidly evolving media landscape.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Rich was a key figure in the media industry. Most recently, he served as the President of WarnerMedia Distribution tasked with integrating the combined distribution businesses of HBO and Turner Broadcasting, playing a key role in launching the HBO Max streaming service, and managing the distribution of WarnerMedia’s portfolio of television networks. Before that, he spent many years with Turner, initially as a senior attorney and then advancing through several roles including Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel and President of the Content Distribution Division. Rich began his career in private practice as a litigator and trial lawyer.
Rich earned a BA from the University of Michigan and a JD from the Emory University School of Law. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult daughters, traveling to new places, cycling with friends, and enjoying sunsets on the beach with a good bottle of wine. Rich gives back to the community as a member of the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League and the advisory board of the Children’s Museum of Atlanta.
